Not everyone has the space to welcome a pet into their home, but there are still meaningful ways to make a difference. By becoming a guardian, you can sponsor one of the animals in our care. As a guardian, you’ll receive a certificate along with biannual updates about your pet’s journey—their health, stories, and daily life.
At Marley Pet Sanctuary, every pet is safe and cherished. And no one has to ever leave. With so many in our care, it’s hard to give each the extra walks, training, and cuddles they deserve. That’s why we offer dog adoption to like‑minded people, family and friends seeking a lovely companion and ready to offer more than we already do.
If you’d like to join our team, we warmly welcome you! Every bit of help makes a difference—whether it’s walking dogs, preparing meals, or lending your skills as a handy person to expand our sanctuary’s infrastructure. We are deeply grateful for every helping hand and the love it brings to our animals.
At our sanctuary, the daily cost of caring for each dog is about $10, and for each cat around $8. This covers nourishing food, supplements, holistic remedies, veterinary care, and essentials like cozy beds, blankets, and toys. While we invest more in providing a natural, wholesome diet, this helps us save significantly on veterinary expenses in the long run.
We also ensure that every animal receives spay or neuter surgery, an important step in their wellbeing and in preventing overpopulation. In 2025 we spayed and neutered 11 animals which cost the sanctuary $575 in total.
All of the work in our sanctuary is powered by volunteers—whether it’s caring for the animals, managing accounting, or maintaining our online presence. The greatest expense we face is providing proper nutrition, ensuring every animal receives the wholesome food they need to thrive.
Many of the animals at Marley Sanctuary would treasure having a guardian angel to support their lives here. Some pets are not available for adoption because they’ve endured difficult pasts and have finally found peace and happiness in the sanctuary.
With a monthly sponsorship of $45, you can enrich the life of the pet you choose—helping provide the love, care, and security they deserve.
Becoming a Guardian Angel for a pet means creating a special bond with one of the animals in our sanctuary. Your monthly gift goes directly toward the care of the companion you choose to sponsor. It’s almost like having a beloved pet who lives here, safe and loved, while still being part of your life.
We invite you to visit anytime to meet your guardian dog or kitty, and we’ll keep you connected through regular letters filled with their happiest moments.
This program is far more personal than a simple donation—it’s a chance to connect with a rescue. By sponsoring, you not only enrich your guardian pet’s world but also help us continue our rescue work for others still waiting for their second chance.
If you feel inspired to sponsor, we invite you to explore the animals in our care and choose the one you’d like to stand beside as their Guardian Angel.
By signing up, you’ll become a cherished part of their journey, offering love and support that truly changes their life.
Adoption is meant to be a true step forward for the pet you choose. It means they will enjoy more of what every animal longs for—extra walks, playtime, cuddles, and the devoted attention that goes beyond what we can provide to each one here at the sanctuary.
We seek like‑minded adopters who embrace this philosophy, making space in their lives and hearts to give their adopted pet the time, care, and companionship they deserve. Adoption is not just a gift of a home—it’s the promise of a richer, more joyful life.
This little soul found her way to us from a shelter in NC — just 13 weeks old when she was surrendered. Someone’s loss became a young lady’s greatest joy. We named the Husky pup Nuki.
Nuki has been adopted by Naomi, into a loving home in Switzerland, and these are her final precious moments before embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.
Six months after landing in Switzerland, Nuki is exactly where she was always meant to be. A husky in her element, living her absolute best life in the Swiss Mountains where she can roam off-leash.
All of our sanctuary cats are accustomed to enjoying time outdoors. We understand that allowing cats outside can be a sensitive topic, as some people prefer to keep them indoors at all times. Our approach is a little different—we believe outdoor time is natural and enriching for them, and we take great care to minimize any risks.
Since our kitties are used to this freedom, we want to continue offering it, while always keeping their safety and wellbeing at the heart of what we do.
